After the opening remarks by President Rtn Javed Manzoor a two minute silence was observed to offer ‘Fateha’ for the Shuhada who were victim to the terrorist’s attacks across the country.

This was the second meeting of the month and the well-known and seasoned journalist Mr. Mujeeb Ur Rahman Shami was the Chief Guest. He was introduced to the members by Rtn Azhar Javeed. The guest talked about the Print Media and the Electronic Media and the extent to which they should exercise their freedom. He talked of the influence and the power that media is enjoying these days and was of the opinion that the journalists should have a sense of responsibility and some kind of internal self control.

Mr. Mujeeb Ur Rehman Shami was quite hopeful of the future of Pakistan and exclaimed that each one of us is a stake holder and should strive in an honest way to help Pakistan progress and prosper.

PP Raza Khursand gave the vote of thanks. Rtn Rani Nazeer presented a bouquet to the guest and the visiting Rotarian PAG Enam Hanid was requested to present the shield. Rotary Clock was given to the guest as a special token by the club president.
