Dear District Governor,
Its a pleasure to report that Rotary Club of Nawabshah has started a new project called CLEFT LIP PROJECT in which a camp was arranged in Nov-Dec 2008 and 52 children suffering from congenital cleft lip problem were attended to.
Out of 52 patients, 26 were selected for surgery and all these children underwent reconstruction of lip with beautiful outcome.
All 26 cleft lip surgeries were done by me as the Pediatric Surgeon at Nawabshah. The closing ceremony was held at Nawabshah Gymkhana on 24th Jan 2010 in which 85 people attended.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Professor Azam Hussain Yousufani, Principal and Chairman of Peoples Medical College Nawabshah. Assistant Governors, Vice Chancellor’s guest Prof Wahid Bux Soomro and other dignitaries and media people attended the ceremony.
I also gave a presentation regarding operative details. Before and after photos of all patients were also shown to the participants.
