On 10th November 2009 the District Governor, Rtn Usman Masood Khan visited our club. The Governor was received by the club officials. Thereafter the President, Rtn Syed Sharif Hasan welcomed him and briefed him regarding club affairs.

The President inter alia said the club has already met the Membership Goal of the RI and the District and have plans to raise the strength to club members to 30. The President also gave a brief regarding on going and planned projects of the club. The President highlighted the vocational centre, run by our club since number of years at Qayyumabad where more than 300 girls have achieved self-employment. The club also actively participated in Polio campaigns and holds regular Eye Camps. The club has also contributed to upgrading a school in Mehmoodabad.

The President said we have other projects in the pipeline like school children clinic and restarting “Mother and Child” centre. Our club has also contributed to Water Management and has been traditionally involved in this avenue of service. We are also planning to cosponsor Micro Credit with another club as our club has been designated by the District in this regard. The club also cosponsored a women health seminar recently.

The President mentioned regarding the generosity of the District Governor, who had agreed to give grant for our vocational centre, to be matched the club. The President praised club members who have donated for the other avenues of service.

The Governor, while addressing the participants praised the club’s efforts and said he feels he is with friends and is well aware of the activities and considers the club as one of the best club. He looks forward to a better performance.

He said during his tenure, merit is the major factor, and would not allow jeopardizing, his commitments. He urged, that all club members should get themselves registered for the coming District Conference. The President assured that most of our members are already registered and will extend any cooperation required by the District.

The President presented a Dossier of club affairs, while PDG ND Tanveer, presented the club flag to the Governor, and a flower bouquet, was presented by the Hon. Secretary Rtn Perveen Syed.
