The Club Members were pleased to welcome The District Governor on his official visit to the club on 5th October, 2009. Venue was the Banquet Hall of Gymkhana. There was a gathering of more than 50 members and guests belonging to the Rotary Club of Lahore Mozang and the Rotary Club of Lahore Gulberg Central. Both the club Presidents; Rtn Amna Ulfat and Rtn Javed Manzoor received the Governor Rtn Usman Masood.
Board meetings were held first and The Governor was pleased to approve future plans of the club. Then the general meeting took place. It was conducted by Rtn Almas Jovinda in his usual exuberant style. There were speeches by the two club presidents informing the audience of the goals and objectives of their respective clubs. The DG Rtn Usman Masood delivered his address. He was appreciative of the club activities and encouraged the members to become good Rotarians and follow the Four Way Test in their respective vocations. The District Governor also promised to pay another visit to our club at his first opportunity. Among the rotary celebrities were present the PDG Rtn. Suhail Ahmed, DGE Rtn. Shahzad Ahmad, Deputy Governor Rtn. Satwat Butt present and past AGs and present and past presidents of various clubs. The President of the Rotary Club of Lahore Mozang Rtn Javed Manzoor and the Past President Rtn Ghulam Mustafa presented cheques to the District Governor for Rotary Foundation. This will entitle them to become Paul Harris Fellows.
The District Governor received bouquets and a momento from the Presidents. Vote of thanks was delivered by Rotarian Robeena Tahir. Hi -Tea marked the end of the meeting.
