The RI election by-laws clearly state that a district officebearer can continue to function in his district role even if he is contesting for the election of the District Governor.
However, to be fair, I have decided that District Secretary, Admiral Tanwir Ahmed will not hold the office of District Secretary from March 1st, 2010 to April 5th, 2010. After the lapse of this period, he will resume his duties as the District Secretary of District 3270 till June 30th, 2010.
