Dr. Anjum Siddiqui is an economist by profession but a ghazal and geet singer at heart. He has been teaching economics and finance at University of Ontario in Canada and now recently at Gulf University in Kuwait. He has made history to be the first South Asian ghazal singer who performed in the Dar ul Athar Music Circle in the national auditorium of Kuwait.
He has two albums to his credit (Yaad and Jazbaat) and has performed in concerts in Canada, New Zealand, Kuwait and Pakistan. His musical performances have appeared on Hum TV and Radio Pakistan as well as Sur Sagar TV in Canada and his radio interviews and ghazals have been played by FM radio stations in Karachi and Kuwait and in Radio Barcelona, Spain. He has an original and energetic singing style and a mellifluous voice to go with it.
