Rotary Club of Islamabad Cosmopolitan and Rotary Club of Islamabad River Soan organized the 1st Rotary Golfers Association of Pakistan (ROGAP) Golf Tournament of District 3270 at the Butterfly Golf Course in Bahria Town in Rawalpindi. The tournament was a well attended affair with almost 26 Golfers participating from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore regions.

The event started at 9am sharp with a shot-gun start and the participants then played 18-holes of golf on a beautiful day at the Butterfly Golf Course. Chief Guest of the Tournament was DGN Pervez Ahsan Khan who at the end distributed trophies to the deserving winners.

The DGN was accompanied by PDG M. Saeed Shamsi, AG Shehzad Ahmed Mir and President Cosmopolitan Club Rotarian Ahsan ul Haq Khan. The Gross winner was Shehzada Aman Tariq and Gross runners up Mudassir Alvi. Net winner was Col. (R) Ishrat and Net runners up Brig (R) Muhammad Alam. Longest Drive was also won by Brig (R) Muhammad Alam and closest to the pin trophy went to Rashid Ibrahim.There were also Junior Gross winner Fahid Tirmizi and runners up Fawad Tirmizi. Junior Net winner was Michele Mudassir and runners up Salman Waqar.

The participants at the end of the tournament also enjoyed a sumptuous lunch. Later it was announced that due to the success of the 1st ROGAP Tournament, the 2nd ROGAP Tournament will be held in December 2010 in Rawalpindi/ Islamabad. The organizers were confident that the next tournament will have more participants and will be more competitive.
