The Rotary Club of Rawalpindi Rawal Dist 3270, gathered at the Margalla Institute of Health Sciences on the 17th of June’2010 in the second official club meeting, after its formation. Visitors from GLOW PAK also attended the meeting and presented the club with its first donation- A foldable dental chair for Field Dentistry.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MEETING:
The following points were being discussed in the club meeting:
1) Feasibility of the projects to be undertaken
i. Feasibility of the projects to be undertaken in respect of dental hygiene was highlighted and it was decided that a Dental Ambulance shall be acquired and far-off areas shall be served, whereby at-the-spot treatment of the patients shall be conducted, with the aid of the said ambulance.
ii. The need to contact other rotary clubs in Pakistan and abroad, for the assistance in acquisition of the Dental Ambulance and the need to establish liaison with RI in respect of the same was emphasized on.
2) Dr. Yasir- the club’s organizer for the Free Dental Camps apprised the club of the progress of the camps. He mentioned that the former two camps were being sponsored by the PLATINUM-a pharmaceutical firm.
3) The club emphasized greatly on the induction of new members.
4) Marketing campaign to be launched was being discussed in brief.
CLUB GOALS FOR JUNE-JULY:
The club shall,
1. Conduct three more free Dental camps of whom; the first shall be conducted at Margalla Institute of Health Science, during the month of June.
2. The other two camps shall be conducted in July in the suburbs of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING DATED 24-06-2010:
• Detailed discussion regarding the itemized budgeting of Dental Ambulance.
• Discussion of prospective of dedicating the fourth floor of Humanity Trust General Hospital to the paraplegic patients, especially the earthquake victims of northern areas.
