Rotary Club of Hyderabad very proudly announces conferring of Human Rights award to Rtn Shahana Bhurgri from French Government for her extraordinary efforts for protection of poor children and imparting free education to them.

The award was delivered to Rtn Shahhan Bhurgri by Consul General of France, Mr Pierre Seillan, in a simple but impressive ceremony on Friday the 11th December 2009 at Hyderabad. The ceremony was also attended by notables of city, members of Rotary club of Hyderabad, teaching staff of the school and students of school.

Ceremony was presided by Honorable Vice Chancellor of University of Sindh Mr Mazhar Ul Haq Siddiqui. On the occasion he donated Rs 50,000 for second phase of school for poor children.

Mr Pierre Seillan who happens to be Rotarian and a member of R.C Karachi Metropolitan paid rich tributes to Rtn Shahna Bhurgri for her untiring efforts in changing and protecting the lives of poor students who are given free education at her school in Hyderabad. She was selected to receive this award after competing with nearly 100 NGOs worldwide.

On the occasion a donation of RS 500,000 was announced by Lucky Cement, Karachi for second phase of school which will be raised to the level of High school.
