Memon Medical Institute and Rotary Club of Karachi Karsaz – a joint project
The inauguration ceremony of Blood Centrifuge Machine for the Blood Bank at Memon Medical Institute was jointly hosted by MMI administration and Rotary Club of Karachi Karsaz on 2nd March 2010. Governor Ashish Ghosh and PDG Deepak Talwar of RI District 3010 Delhi were the Guests of honor as they contributed with RCKK in this matching grant project at MMI. The program was well attended Rotary Club of Karachi Karsaz, District officials, Past District Governors and other dignitaries.
Blood Bank at MMI has been established under the matching grant program of The Rotary Foundation through efforts of Rtn Peer Mohammad Diwan, Chairman MMI and Gatron Foundation and PDG Muhammad Faiz Kidwai. The project has been initiated by Rotary Club of Karachi Karsaz and has been sponsored by RID 3010 Delhi.
On the occasion, Rtn Peer Mohammad Diwan remarked that MMI is a hundred percent donor funded project of the Memon Health and Education Foundation and one of the largest projects undertaken to provide accessible and affordable quality health care and education to all with dignity, respect and empathy.
Later, during the inter-city meeting held in honor of Governor Ashish Ghosh and PDG Deepak Talwar of RI District 3010 Delhi, DG Usman Masud recognized the great work by Rtn P M Diwan towards this commendable project. The Rotarians present at the meeting paid a standing ovation to honor Rtn P M Diwan for his dedication towards this noble cause.

Finally the long awaited desire of Districts 3010 and 3270 fulfilled. I am sure this will act as the first step for future collaborations in serving the community.
