Dear Rotarian,

I am happy to announce that the International Golf Tournament that is being arranged by the Rotary Club of Kandy, a Club in District 3220, Sri Lanka, will be held during the weekend of the 28th to 30th May 2010.

The Organizing Committee have put together an attractive package (excluding travel to and from Sri Lanka) with options that will give those Golf Playing Rotarians, Anns and friends of Rotary the opportunity to experience the beautiful but challenging PAR 73, Victoria Golf Course in Digana, situated near Kandy. (Victoria has been voted as best Golf Course in the sub-continent this year) Furthermore, they will be offered extended stay where they can also enjoy the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and more of the scenes and culture of Sri Lanka.

This is a Fundraiser for the Rotary International Foundation and all profits will be sent to the Foundation.

The full package comes in two options:

1. Stay at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort in their Chalets or in one of the privately owned Villas – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the Golf Club (villa occupants will be given Breakfast at the villa) – 3 rounds of Golf (1 practice and 2 Tournament including Caddie and Ball Spotter) – Welcome Reception with Fellowship – Gala Dinner Dance – Transport from and to the Airport and from and to the Hotel where appropriate – Competition Entry Fee – Bottled Water and a Snack on the Course.
   Cost of Package: US$ 700 based on two persons sharing a double room.
2. All the above except stay in 5 Star accommodation at the Earls Regency Hotel approximately 30 minutes from the Golf Club.
   Cost of Package: US$ 750 for a single room
   US$ 700 for a double room (two persons sharing)

The prices have been negotiated for a three night stay. Longer periods can be arranged.

We also offer a fun event on Monday following the competition by way of a Team Texas Scramble, day visits to places of interest and for hardened Golfers a trip to the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club at a reasonable price.

There will be a cut off in the numbers that can be accommodated on the golf course therefore early bookings are recommended.
