Dear Rotarians,
I am sure you will agree with me that from time to time we do arrange fellowship outings but do not make arrangements or plans for our children to accompany us. As per the desire of the District Governor Usman Masud, Rotary Club of Karachi Gateway as lead club, along with Rotary Club of Karachi Bay, Rotary Club of Karachi Defence, Rotary Club of Karachi Creek, Rotary Club of Karachi Universal and Rotary Club of Karachi Centennial are planning a day of enjoyment and fun with our children at the Pakistan Naval Academy at Manora on Sunday 20th of December 2009.
As we will be entering two Naval Establishments and due to security reasons, NO ‘on the spot registration’ will be done. Briefly the plans for the day will be that the families reach Pakistan Naval Academy at about 1015 hours. Three 20/20 Cricket matches of Seniors, Ladies and Junior team will played against the Academy team. Lunch will be served at 1330 hours followed by “Tambola”. At 1600 hours coaches have been arranged to transport Rotarians and families from Academy to the Naval hut. 12 divers will be in attendance as such any one interested in swimming will be permitted to “wet himself”.Tug of war between mothers and daughters will be held on the beach. Four horses and two camels will be in attendance for families wishing to emulate ‘Sultan Rahi’ or ‘Lawrance of Arabia’.
Keeping the security situation in mind entry to the Naval Academy will be permitted only to those who have a valid pass which can be purchased for Rs. 350/-per person. Children below 5 years of age are free. Passes will be available by the 1st week of December 2009 with the Admiral ( R ) Tanveer Ahmed, District Secretary, Rtn. Nighat Sadiq (RCK Gateway), Rtn. Tasneem Bandukwala (RCK Defence), Rtn. Shamim Zaman (RCK Universal), Rtn. Anita Osmani (RCK Centennial), Rtn. Asma Anayat ( RCK Bay).
All Rotarians and their families are more than welcome to join us for this outing. Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday the 20th of Dec 09 at the Naval Academy.
