PDG Shakil Ansari has been nominated Chairman Eastern Mediterranean Regional Polio Plus Committee 2009-2010 and Member South East Asia Regional PolioPlus Committee 2009-2010.

In this regard he has been invited to represent Polio Plus Committee & The Rotary Foundation for the following meetings:

• 56th Session of WHO-Regional Committee for Eastern Mediterranean at FEZ-Morocco 5th -8th October 2009.
• 21st Meeting of Eastern Mediterranean Regional Commission for Certification of Polio Eradication 21-22 October 2009.
