Rotary Club of Karachi Universal held a Polio Camp at captioned school on 15th February 2010 at 10:00 AM as Part of National Immunization day of 2010 which is of significant due to introduction of New vaccine which covers two type of Polio Virus.
The camp was inaugurated by Chairman, National Polio Plus Committee, PDG Aziz Memon, beside it was participated, by club member officials of the IMHT School, of nursing and press representative.
The school management felicitated our club through the courtesy of our Vice President Rtn Shamim Zaman.
More than 200 children were administered Polio Drops and the elder children were given Polio Books, Pencils to create Polio awareness.
The club members welcomed the Chief Guest PDG Aziz Memon and other participants, who were entertained with refreshment.
PDG Aziz Memon while addressing the gathering said it is sad that Pakistan is still infected with Polio while countries like Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka has long being Polio free. It is therefore, necessary that we must all strive to end Polio at the earliest.
The President thank PDG Aziz Memon for sparing his precious time in attending this functions. The President also thank other participants for their presence, specially the management of the School.
