Members of Rotary Club of Hyderabad belonging to minority Hindu community celebrated Diwali on Monday the 26th October 2009, by arranging a dinner in honor of all the club members and Guests. Members from Rotary Clubs of Karachi Central Town, Sanghar, Kunri Bostan and Kotri also attended the meeting.
Rotary Club of Hyderabad arranged a talk on Hepatitis and invited Dr Abdul Majeed Chuto, Director Hepatitis Control Program, Government of Sindh as the Guest Speaker. He very elaborately spoke about measures taken by Sindh Government to control the spread of this fatal disease. He also spoke about the free facilities provided by his department for investigation and treatment of poor people suffering from hepatitis. He emphasized on more preventive measures to control the disease. He also put forward suggestions about how Rotary Clubs can be a partner in this program. This was followed by a very interesting Question Answer session.
Meeting was followed by sumptuous home made dinner with sweets of the occasion.
