Interact Club is one of Rotary’s structured programs designed to help clubs and districts achieve their service goals, within their communities and around.
The Interact club is a service club for the young aged 14-18. It is sponsored by a parent Rotary club, and this Interact Club provides an opportunity to the young to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills, taking ownership of oneself and others around them, in the process of making new friends.
The Rotary Club of Karachi Bay, joined hands with Beaconhouse School System – Jubilee Campus to form their very own Interact Club, on March 15th, 2010, with a group of 30 such young enthusiasts.
On March 15, 2010, District Secretary, Rtn. Admiral Tanveer, was accompanied with Rotary Club of Karachi Bay’s President Rtn. Aamir Butt, along with their club’s Hon. Secretary Rtn. Asma Inayat, to Beaconhouse School campus to meet up with their Principal, Counsellor Mrs. Naheed and Guradian of this Interact Club, Mr. Zaki Naqi.
The elections for the Interact club was held a week earlier when the President, Vice President, Hon. Secretary, Treasurer and other Board Directors were nominated and selected. Ironically, the young girls empowered the boys by taking the President, Vice President and Hon. Secretary’s position, while the boys were made in charge of the various director level positions.
The members of the club not only went to meet the authorities in command at the school, but officially announce the start of the club, by pinning the students and making them a part of the Rotary Family. Rtn. Admiral Tanweer, spoke to the students, guiding them and teaching them to fish than to be spoon fed. Later in the day, all 30 students were pinned with Rotary badges, Rotary t-shirts were also distributed amongst the students and their teachers.
The students in extreme excitement and fervour could not wait to begin their journey as Interactors of our club, eager to inquire about their first project and what it should be like? Here are a few glimpses of the lovely Monday morning spent with an over energetic lot of young boys and girls. Welcome to our family! Cheers ☺

Congratulations. This is the only way where Rotary can grow.All other methods are useless and and have failed.In fact I reccomend establishmant of Five School based Interact clubs by each Rotary club in Karachi and Hyderabad.
