Rotary Club of Lahore South East played host to three illustrious guests at its weekly meeting held at the president’s house in March 2010. The event was graced by the presence of DG Usman Masood along with DG Elect Shehzad Ahmed and President of Rotary Club of Lahore Gulberg Central Rtn Amna Ulfat who is also a member of the Punjab Assembly.
The guests and members were briefed on the successful continuation of the adopted school which at present has an enrollment of 550 students and is completely financed and managed by the club. At this occasion the club contributed a sum of $10,000 to The Rotary Foundation of which $5000 have been contributed by the members and the remaining sum has been matched by the Club President. Towards the end of the meeting a further cheque of Rs.100,000 was presented to the District Governor by Club President Mrs. Aniqa Shah as part of the contribution towards District Conference 2010. DG Usman Masood praised the club’s commitment towards the cause of Rotary International and efforts made by all its members.
