Rotary Club of Multan Metropolitan achieved another landmark in the month of January 2010 when President Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry inaugurated the Gyne Centre and a dispensary Near Basti Khuda Dad at Katcha Pathak on Multan Muzaffargarh Road, Multan.

This dispensary consisted of three rooms. One room is used for Outdoor Patients and the other is examination room for pregnant women. Third room is Labor Room (for delivery cases). Veranda is used as the waiting area.

This dispensary is equipped with all necessary instruments used during the delivery cases. The club’s member Rtn Dr Zubaida will look after the Gyne Centre and will facilitate the patients.

This area is densely populated but there was no gyne centre in this area. When Rotarians from Rotary Club of Multan Metropolitan visited this area for the first time they felt that the community is suffering from the Basic Health Care and Medical facilities.

President Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry played the major role in this project with the co operation of other Rotarians, particularly Rtn Mrs. Mussarat Akram, Rtn Doctor Zubaida, Rtn Ch Zulfiqar Ali, Rtn PP Rab Nawaz Malik, Rtn PP Fayyaz Ahmad Sheikh, Rtn Charter President Muhammad Younus Ghazi and others.

Some equipments, such as the Ultrasound machine are still needed. President Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry and other members promised that they will convert this Gyne Centre into a small hospital. President Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry also sent the request to MDA for free land.

Newly chartered Rotaract Club members were also present there and they arranged the opening ceremony function at the Gyne Centre.
