During a highly sophisticated ceremony held in Lahore on February 06, 2010, District Governor Rtn Usman Masud made three important recognitions on behalf of rotary district 3270 amongst the three highly distinguished dignitaries in recognition of their exceptional work for the deprived people of Pakistan. This high powered ceremony was attended by government functionaries, cabinet ministers, members of the parliaments, members of the chamber of commerce Lahore, health practitioners and experts , delegation of seasoned Rotarians beside others.

First recognition was done done for Prime Minister of Pakistan His Excellency Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani –acknowledging and appreciating his exceptional service aiming to bring Unity, Discipline and Harmony amongst various diverse groups within the country and also for recognizing his extremely effective role towards the down trodden and poor people of Pakistan with a very special passion to eradicate polio not only from Pakistan but also from the face of this earth.

District Governor Usman Masud presented a Crest to his excellency Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani –Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan –in recognition of his selfless service towards the deprived people of this country.

District Governor also presented to His Excellency a Paul Harris Fellowish Kit – in recognition of his passionate role towards eradication of Polio.

Second recognition was done for Chief Minister of Punjab, His Excellency Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif for his passion to provide free medical treatment, free medicines and free food to the poor and needy patients in the hospitals and otherwise and for his exceptional conviction together with concrete actions to provide equal opportunity for quality education for the poorest of the poor which has won him great laurels and for which he has been able to win the hearts of the people of Punjab.

In recognition of his sincere, dedicated service towards the down trodden and deprived people of Punjab, especially with respect to his vibrant role in the field of medical care and education District Governor Usman Masud presented a crest to KHADAM-ALLA PUNJAB.

Paul Harris Fellowship Kit was also presented to His Excellency by the District Governor – in recognition of his selfless service for the mankind.

Third recognition was for the Principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College Rotarian Professor Dr Javed Akram member of Rotary Club of Lahore Mozang who is also M.S of Jinnah Hospital Lahore.

In recognition of his exceptional service in the field of Health and Health Management and in recognition of his revolutionary and incredible achievements with respect to creation of state of the art facilities at Jinnah Hospital Lahore – District Governor Usman Masud presented a crest to Professor Dr Javed Akram.

District Governor also presented a Paul Harris Fellowship Kit to Professor Dr Javed Akram in recognition of his extraordinary work in the field of health.

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani lauded the efforts of Rotary for the uplift of social sector in Pakistan specially in the area of Health and Education.

Rotary delegation was lead by District Governor Usman Masud – accompanied by PDG AQ Alvi, PDG A Rauf Rohaila, PDG Sohail Ahmed, DGE Shehzad Ahmed, AG Maj Mujib Aftab, AG Raza Khursand, AG Fida Muhammad Khan, AG Masrur Lodhi, PAG Col (R) Sajid Baseer, PAG Almas Jovindah, PAG Mubarik Ali Shahid, President Shafiq Ahmed and Rtn Satwat Butt.

This ceremony became a source of Public Image of Rotary in the eyes of the Government officials as well beside others and both Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief Minister of Punjab were happy to accept the honorary membership of Rotary. On this occasion both of these dignitaries were inducted in Rotary as honorary members by District Governor Usman Masud.
