I rang Wasif Mir, Vice Principal of SISA, School of International Studies in Sciences and Arts this evening and told him what Rotary is doing for IDPs of Swat and Malakand. Since my kids study in that school and we have a rapport, he did not have trouble believing my pitch. I told him we are running campaigns to generate donations for the Rotary Malakand Relief Committee.
Wasif replied: “Raza, our school is already doing some work, its a good idea to join hands!”
Isn’t that a great reply?
We made a plan a quick plan to aggressively encourage donations from students and their families, and then Rotary Club of Lahore Liberty will pick up everything from the school and handle the rest with the relief committee.
I created two artworks in MS Word, so that others can easily change and use it too:
a. A4 sized noticeboard poster to be posted in each class.
b. Smaller handbills that can be photocopied, cut, and distributed to each student so that they can show it to their parents.
Here’s what you can do:
Speak to the management of every possible school, college, university, and even large companies. As soon as you have their approval, download both the file, the poster and the handbill.
Just change the following:
Print one copy, then get it photocopied, and circulate them.
As soon as I was finished talking to SISA, I started listing other institutions that I can check with. Just like a good sales person does not stop after making a sale, we should not stop after making one successful pitch.
Because there are more than 1,500,000 people waiting for HELP!
